On Thursday, BMW Motorrad India introduced the all-new M 1000 RR to the Indian market in 2 variants – M 1000 RR STD and the top variant M 1000 RR Competition. The BMW M 1000 RR Competition costs Rs. 45 lakh, while the BMW M 1000 RR Standard costs Rs. 42 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom pan India). Light White, Racing Blue Metallic, and Racing Red will be the vehicle’s colour options.
In terms of performance, the BMW M 1000 RR is powered by a 999cc water-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with BMW ShiftCam technology that produces 209bhp (156kW) at 14,500rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. The M 1000 RR accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 306 kilometres per hour. The M 1000 RR also gets revised engine parts, improved compression, and a titanium-based lightweight exhaust system. BMW M 1000 RR gets Disc brakes in the front and rear. The kerb weight of M 1000 RR is 192 Kg. BMW M 1000 RR has Tubeless Tyre and Alloy Wheels.
Engine (throttle), Engine Brake, Traction Control, Wheelie-Control, ABS, and ABS Pro are all freely programmable parameters in the Riding Modes Pro. The motorcycle also gets a Launch Control and a pit-lane limiter thanks to the ‘Pro Modes.’
A redesigned frame, high-performance M brakes, M carbon wheels, a 6.5-inch TFT display and OBD interface, a lightweight M battery, USB charging socket in the rear, powerful integrated LED light modules, and heated grips are among the other features.
